Lead up’s four partners listed in the 2026 Leaders League ranking of arbitrators in France
In the 2026 edition of Leaders League’s ranking of Arbitrators in France, published on 21 May 2026, the four partners of Lead up, Ramy Bassily, Julien Maire du Poset, Anne-Sophie Tonin and Baptiste Rigaudeau, are each listed. It is the first time all four partners appear together in this ranking.
The ranking recognises practitioners in their personal capacity to sit as arbitrators, which is distinct from the rankings of firms acting as counsel. Each listing is individual.
An individual recognition
Leaders League publishes separate rankings for counsel and for arbitrators. As counsel, Lead up is ranked Highly Recommended in International Arbitration as well as in Mediation in France and Recommended in Commercial Litigation , Distribution and Franchise Law.
The Arbitrators table is a different exercise: it concerns the practitioners themselves, in the role for which they are appointed to decide a dispute rather than to argue one. The directory, also published under the Décideurs brand, draws on peer review, client feedback and editorial research.
Four distinct profiles
The four partners are listed individually, and their practices as arbitrators are distinct:
- Ramy Bassily: focuses on international commercial arbitration and investor-State dispute settlement, as counsel and as arbitrator, including under the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, CRCICA, DIAC and ArbitrateAD (formerly ADCCAC) rules, with particular depth in the Middle East and North Africa across the banking, construction, infrastructure, energy and telecommunications sectors. He is regularly appointed as arbitrator and is listed on the rosters of qualified arbitrators of several international arbitral institutions.
- Julien Maire du Poset: dual-qualified (Paris Bar and Solicitor of England and Wales), focuses his practice on international commercial arbitration and commercial litigation, both domestic and cross-border. He acts as counsel and as arbitrator in proceedings conducted under institutional rules, such as those of the ICC, LCIA, ICSID and AFA. His practice covers a range of sectors, including distribution, construction, telecommunications, technology, SaaS, gambling and shareholder disputes. His practice bridges civil-law and common-law approaches.
- Baptiste Rigaudeau: focuses on international arbitration, commercial and between foreign investors and States, as counsel and as arbitrator, including under the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, CAIP, SIAC, HKIAC, CCJA and CRCICA rules with particular experience in the mining, infrastructure, construction and extractive industries and across francophone Africa. He writes, teaches and speaks regularly on international arbitration.
