Lead up has been ranked Tier 1 in Paris in two practice areas, Arbitration and Mediation and International Arbitration, in the 2027 edition of Best Law Firms™ – France. In the 2026 edition, the firm held one Tier 1 ranking in Paris, in Arbitration and Mediation. International Arbitration is ranked for the first time this year.
How the rankings are built
Best Law Firms is published by Best Lawyers. According to its methodology, unchanged since 2010, each firm is assessed on four sources. The first is a confidential survey of the firm’s clients and professional references, covering experience, responsiveness, understanding of their business, cost-effectiveness, civility and whether they would refer another client to the firm. The second is the evaluations given by lawyers already recognized in Best Lawyers, through its peer-review ballots. The last two are information supplied by the firm and interviews with managing partners and practice group leaders.
Only firms with at least one lawyer recognized in the current edition of Best Lawyers are eligible. The results are combined into a single score, and firms are grouped into tiers rather than ranked one after another.
Why this recognition matters to us
We value this ranking for the way it is produced. It does not rest on what a firm says about itself, but on what clients, professional references and peers practising in the same field report about working with it. The addition of International Arbitration covers the part of our practice devoted to cross-border disputes.
